TaxesToGo simplifies the process of sending and receiving tax documents in just four easy steps. Here's how you can seamlessly utilize this feature:
1. Prepare the Return:
Ensure the tax return is initiated within your program. If not already done, commence the return to set the groundwork for document sharing through TaxesToGo.
2. Customer App Download:
Direct your customer to download the TaxesToGo mobile app.
3. Document Upload:
Instruct your taxpayer to utilize the “Upload Documents” feature within the TaxesToGo mobile app. This allows them to conveniently upload all necessary tax documents.
4. Associate App Account with Tax Return:
Once the taxpayer completes the document upload, it's time to link their app account with the existing tax return in your program. This crucial step enables you to view the uploaded documents and share taxpayer signature documents seamlessly.

How to Sync and App With an Existing Return
Follow the steps below to sync an app account with an existing return, the taxpayer will need to give you their Tax Code provided to them by the app.
1. Client Search:
Navigate to the Client Search option in your program. Locate the specific client for whom you want to sync the app account.
2. Access Tools Menu:
Once you've identified the client, select the Tools drop-down menu situated on the right side of the screen. This menu holds key functionalities to manage client-related tasks.
3. Choose “Sync Return with Mobile App” :
From the Tools menu, opt for the “Sync Return with Mobile App” feature. This initiates the syncing process, connecting the client's app account with their existing tax return.
4. Enter Taxpayer Details:
To proceed with the syncing, provide the taxpayer's email address and Tax Code. This ensures accurate association between the app account and the specific tax return.
5. Post-Sync Visibility:
After successful syncing, you gain visibility into the documents uploaded through the app. Additionally, this synchronization enables you to send signature documents directly to the taxpayer through the app.

Documents sent to you via the Taxes To Go mobile app are available to you almost instantly in ProWeb.
If the taxpayer has sent you documents via Taxes To Go but you cannot see them in the return:
1. Have you claimed the taxpayer's app return?
Documents sent you via the Taxes To Go mobile app aren't available until you have claimed the app.
2. Have you refreshed or reloaded the program?

Note: if the taxpayer has only uploaded documents but did not complete the My Tax Return section of the app, the app return will need to be manually pulled in to see those documents, i.e., pulled in using the e-mail address and tax code. You won't see it in the Taxes To Go queue.
