FAQ: Start New Return Button is Missing

Description:  This article will walk you through how you can troubleshoot when the  “Start new return button” is missing in your software


Process:

Verify that you are trying to Start a new return using your Preparer login credentials. If you are using the preparer login credentials, and it’s still not available, proceed to the next steps.


  1. Access software using the admin login

  2. Click on Main Menu




  1. Go to Company Configuration



  1. Click on Tax Preparation Controls

Review Tax Preparation Settings



Make sure the offices do not have a ✅ mark next to it. Having that checked will disable returns for offices.
