OLT: Understanding MO (Multi Office Admin)/Software Usernames

Process:

A common mistake could be misunderstanding your usernames and what are they for. Here you’ll find some things to take into consideration to understand better which username works for what and how to identify them.

  • Admin Username:

    • You have 1 Admin Username for the MO (Multi Office Admin).

    • This username doesn’t work for the Software.

    • This username is created and provided by us.

    • Normally the username includes the word ADMIN.

    • When entering this username will only request to enter the Account Name and Password.



    • This username is located on the ticket titled “OLT-YOUR BUSINESS NAME-YOUR MASTER EFIN”. 

      • To locate it, open the Support Portal link and sign in.

      • Click My Links on the middle top of your screen. You’ll see your ticket titled “OLT-YOUR BUSINESS NAME-YOUR MASTER EFIN”.



      • Please open that ticket and inside you’ll find the Admin Username.




  • Preparer Username:

    • This username is created by you.

    • When entering this username will always request to enter the Firm Name also.



    • This username doesn’t work for the MO (Multi Office Admin).

    • The username gives you access to prepare returns in the Software.

    • This username is located inside of the Location Account, after clicking the Pencil Icon.



      • The username for the ERO is the first one displayed:



      • The usernames for the rest of the preparers for that location will be displayed using these instructions:

        • Once in the previous screen, click Save and Continue.



        • Now click the Pencil Icon on the preparer you want the username from.
