OLT: How to Mask the SSN in a Return

Process:

To mask the SSN in a return, simply follow these instructions:

1. Log in to your software, and click on the ‘Setup’ tab.
   
   

   

   
   
   

2. Click on ‘Settings’ in the left sidebar.
   
   

   

   
   
   

3. Click on the ‘Preparer/Client Level’ tab.
   
   

   

   
   
   

4. Locate the ‘SSN Settings’, and check the box beside, “Mask SSN in Customer and Preparer Copy”.
   
   

   

   
   
   

5. After completing these steps, the SSN will be masked on the Customer and Preparer copy when printed.
