Admin Control Icons

To access and manage your locations, first sign into your Multi-Office Manager.

Next, select the

'Admin' icon from the left hand menu.

Understanding Your Admin Controls

To the right of each location in your Multi-Office Manager you'll find it's Admin Controls.

Follow along below to familiarize yourself with what each of these options can do.

  Mark Paid/Unpaid

You mark Locations as 'PAID' by the TAX YEAR not the current working year!

Marking a location as PAID will allow that location to transmit returns in whichever tax year is selected in the dropdown box.

This will also open up bank enrollment for the location. Admin preparers can submit their own enrollment once the location is marked as paid, so be sure to follow along with the next step too.

This feature allows you to control access to your software on a yearly basis per Location/EFIN.

You may also mark a location as unpaid to prevent them from transmitting additional returns in a tax year.

  Set Bank Fee

The base fee for transmitting a bank product return is $25,

this includes the $15 technology fee and a $10 transmission fee.

Set your Transmission and Service Bureau Fee here per location and by bank to lock these fees into the bank applications. If you do not set your Bank Fee before marking a location as paid the admin preparer can submit their bank enrollment with no additional transmitter fee or service bureau fee so be sure to do this!!

  Edit Location

Editing a location will allow you to setup preparers in that location, update firm information,

upload the EFIN summary, manage the location’s account settings and submit or modify bank enrollments.

*note: bank enrollments are only available if the location is marked as paid

  Set the Privileges

Privileges allow you to block access to particular features of your software per location (note this also effects the Admin Preparer account). Here is where you are able to prevent the Admin Preparer from submitting their Bank Enrollment should you so wish to do so.

  Reset Password

This option will allow you to send a password reset email to the admin account for the location.

Clicking reset password will also provide you with a password should you need to provide it to your client.

Location Features

A location cannot add more than 10 preparers by default.

You may unlock this limit by using the Enable option in location features.

Unlink Location

Unlinking a Location will remove it from your location manager.

If you need to relink a location you can do so by using the Link Location by Master EFIN option at the top of the location manager.

  Enable/Disable Access

Use this option if you want to completely disable access to a location.

This will prevent the admin user and any preparers from being able to sign into this location.

You’ll need to input a reason for disabling the account.

in cases of billing issues it is more common to mark an account as 'UNPAID' so they still have access to their client data.
